About Us
Mendip Section was formed in 1977 from the Westward section. Their area takes in the whole of Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset. Places of interest include Bath, Bristol, Swindon, the Salisbury Plains, Cheddar, with its famous gorge and Wookey Hole, and Weston Super Mare. The section emblem is a “Country Yokel” which was derived from the high successful 1970’s group from Somerset, The Wurzels. The Section colours are Red and White
